CONTROL GROUP NEWSLETTER – FEBRUARY 2023
INDEPENDENCE
When we started the Control Group – a very long-feeling one and a
half years ago, our plan was to demonstrate the long-term health
outcomes of our participants as accurately as possible.
At the outset, we decided that we had to be completely independent
from external influences who might require us to implement bias in
order to gain funding. We also felt that, with a massive loss of faith
in the pharmaceutical industry, lack of transparency in drug studies
and the peer review process – we should be as far removed as possible
from any association with the current system.
This is why we chose a participant funding model, with a free option
to ensure participation in the study is accessible to everyone.
This has worked well and ensured that we have a large, and increasing
participant base – and with a choice of quarterly or annual
subscriptions, it is our generous Associates who will ensure that we
can keep building and maintaining what will be, a multi-generational
study – for less than the cost of just one take-out coffee per month.
TALKING OF SUBSCRIPTIONS (a bit of a grumble)
As we have noted above, we are incredibly grateful to those
Associates who continue to support us by subscribing. However, it does
surprise us that a significant number of people choose to enter their
payment details and then email us to complain that they have been
charged and demand refunds.
We have done our best to make our payment structure clear on the
website and, as we also make clear, it is entirely optional and if you
do choose to subscribe, you can cancel it yourself at any time. That
said, I feel that I must re-iterate that the word ‘subscription’ means
a recurring payment, as again, we have a large number of participants
who send our lovely admin staff rather rude emails complaining that
they did not expect their subscription to continue.
I hate having to talk about payments, but the fact is that running a
large, worldwide database requires dedicated and highly skilled
developers and a sizeable administrative team to answer emails, make
refunds and print and send cards – not to mention an office,
exorbitant postage costs and everything else.
And, as much as it might seem like paying a subscription is ‘money
for nothing’ to many people – our data is possibly the ONLY true
information about the long-term health outcomes of those people who
chose not to take the COVID injection – and their children and their
children’s children, in comparison with the generations of people
who did. This is incredibly important and we are incredibly serious
about doing a good job of this, but if the funding stops,
unfortunately, so will the study.
COVID VACCINATED PRE-REGISTRATION
We are almost finished with the new study design and will soon be
ready to welcome participants who have had any number of Covid
injections. In the meantime, we have created a Covid vaccinated

Stress-free, vaccine-free travel news from Charlotte and Russell
Wow what a start to the year! January as expected has been really
busy as people turn their attention to holiday plans for the year.
With China removing restrictions unfortunately some others have
reintroduced them, we’re always on hand to advise on most welcoming
destinations for unvaccinated travelers.
Charlotte continues her travels around South East Asia, since
November she has now visited Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia and even
thrown in a cheeky little break to the Maldives.
In the meantime we’ve been busy working on the next group tour for
unvaccinated travellers… we’re off to Crete on the 19th of May. If
you fancy joining us for 7 nights all-inclusive stay we’ve 2 hotels
close together one aimed at solo travelers and single parents the
others with prices from £620pp and another aimed more at larger
families and couples with prices from £950pp (prices are live and
