We should point out that fraudsters will often impersonate real people to help them fool a victim. We are not passing any judgement on the people mentioned in the Emails we publish. If they are a notable person or company, then most likely it would be someone spoofing their identity. The linkedIn page you provided is probably the genuine person, we have not checked. We know nothing about the actual gentleman, all we know is that we received an Email from someone with the Email address of “georgegordillo1” which would appear to be an attempt to find a victim to defraud.

Brendinghat has a system to make spam Emails available to various Internet search engines. The hope is that a potential victim will be suspicious enough to do a search on the Email they just received, and by seeing it on out database, will realise they have not been singled out to receive a large cash reward for example.
Further investigation is beyond our remit, we do not have the resources, so we can provide no more information on these scams.
