    1. One of the tricks used by scammers is to pretend they are working for a legitimate company – we include the warning “Please note that some of these Emails may be impersonating a genuine company or person” on each page. As you rightly point out, the reply email address is foldercrate.com, an independent web based Email service – nothing to do with the finance company they are impersonating. It would be very unusual for a company with a website, not to be using their official domain name for Emails. Seeing a public Email address for a business should always ring alarm bells.

The main reason we publish this Email is that it has arrived at one of our honeypot Email addresses. This is a special group of address that have been placed in known spam harvesting areas and now appear on mailing lists of dubious origins. No legitimate business should be using these lists, therefore any message that arrives we can be confident that are unwanted spam at the very least.

Thanks for taking the time to leave a message, and to summarise, we are publishing this Email because it appears to be impersonating a real company with the intention to defraud the recipient and the real company has no connection to the contents of the Email.
