I have just fallen for the above scam. I should have paid closer attention to the sender’s address, but I had recently received bona fide notification from HMRC re Covid-19 support and when searching my inbox, the scam email came up first.
I downloaded a form, as instructed, and submitted my personal details (including UTR, passport no.) – no banking details. Any advice on how I should proceed? Do they have enough information to get money from me or do I just need to stay vigilant for further communication from them?
