  1. July 2020… I have been reporting this address to Gmail abuse for more than half a year now. The mailbox still exists and accepts messages.
    Gmail’s abuse reporting system seems to be worthless and just drop reports directly in the trash bin. They don’t seem to mind letting these scammers continue finding new victims by using the Gmail service *and* impersonating Google (I thought that last bit might make them want to react even a little more promptly).
    I find it hard to understand how a company like Google seems to be out of their depth with stuff like this, and unable to just block these mailboxes as soon as they pop up.
    I guess they’re like most big tech corporations: an army of talented engineers, whose skills and talent go up in smoke without effect, thanks to a management that efficiently prevents any form of progress or quality assurance from actually reaching consumers.
