I am James Lamb, Head Inspection Unit, United Nations InspectionAgency in Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport Atlanta, Georgia.During our investigation, I discovered an abandoned shipment through aDiplomat from Europe which was transferred from JF KennedyAirport to our facility here in Atlanta, and when scanned it revealedan undisclosed sum of money in 2 Metal Trunk Boxes weighingapproximately 65LBS each.
The consignment was abandoned because the Content was not properlydeclared by the consignee as money rather it was declared as personaleffect/classified document to either avoid diversion by the ShippingAgent or confiscation by the relevant authorities.
