  1. Hi,

This is Melina and I am a professional illustrator.

I was discouraged, frankly speaking, when I came across my images at your web-site. If you use a copyrighted image without my consent, you must be aware that you could be sued by the copyright holder.

It’s not legal to use stolen images and it’s so disgusting!

Take a look at this document with the links to my images you used at brendinghat.com and my earlier publications to obtain evidence of my copyrights.

Download it right now and check this out for yourself:

    https://sites.google.com/site/case000732/………………………………….

If you don’t remove the images mentioned in the document above within the next several days, I’ll write a complaint against you to your hosting provider stating that my copyrights have been infringed and I am trying to protect my intellectual property.

And if it doesn’t work, you may be pretty damn sure I am going to report and sue you! And I will not bother myself to let you know of it in advance.

    1. The above comment is an attempt to get us to download the trojan/virus within the document supplied.

The big warning sign was the link – “NEVER CLICK ON A LINK supplied via Email or in a forum or comments section. Do not be fooled by the Google domain name – they host other peoples stuff, they do not control all the content on that domain.

The other warning sign was the impersonal nature. Brendinghat is mentioned, but that would just be by virtue of being on a list of domains to try. The comment was posted on a page with no images – At the very least you would expect to see the post on an alleged infringed page. The fact that they are being vague about the alleged infringement, instead of specifically telling me what images we need to remove. They are trying to make us get the document, and that is why we deleted the link – Leaving it intact to help others who are not so sure.

Indeed – I was suspicious enough not to download, but as I do publish images used by scammers, there is a chance I may be using some copyright material. We do occasionally get requests to remove some of our content from the people/companies who had their ID stolen.
