someone needs to make an app that picks these up and sends out a bounced address so they will hopefully remove your email address.
Unfortunately from a technical perspective, by the time a mail hits your inbox, it is too late. Your mail server has already accepted the Email on your behalf. n.b. Your mail server being gmail, yahoo, aol, outlook, etc.
In fact, antispam software running on a mail server will be bouncing back (refusing to accept) any Email that it considers spam so your concept is right. It also relies on the spammer complying with mass mailing best practice by removing keeping their mailing list current, which I suspect does not happen that much.
