towns, with medieval streets and buildings, the old town of Bamberg
has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site

From the 10th century onwards, Bamberg became a key link with the Slav
peoples, notably those of Poland and Pomerania. It experienced a
period of great prosperity from the 12th century onwards, during which
time it was briefly the centre of the Holy Roman Empire

buried in the old town, alongside his wife Kunigunde

architecture from this period strongly influenced that in Northern

century onwards, the bishops were princes of the Empire[8]

Bamberg, overseeing the construction of monumental buildings. This
growth was complemented by the obtaining of large portions of the
estates of the Counts of Meran

the sea, partly through purchase and partly through the appropriation
of extinguished fiefs.

Bamberg lost its independence in 1802, following the secularization of
church lands, becoming part of Bavaria

town was first connected to the German rail system in 1844, which has
been an important part of its infrastructure ever since. After a
communist uprising took control over Bavaria in the years
following World War I  <Link to Wikipedia article> ,
the state government fled to Bamberg and stayed there for almost two
years before the Bavarian capital of Munich
 <Link to Wikipedia article>  was retaken by _Freikorps

republican constitution of Bavaria was passed in Bamberg, becoming

During the post-Roman
 <Link to Wikipedia article>  centuries of Germanic
migration and settlement, the region later included in the Diocese of
Bamberg  <Link to Wikipedia article>  was
inhabited for the most part by Slavs
 <Link to Wikipedia article> . The town, first mentioned in
902, grew up by the castle _Babenberch_ which gave its name to
the Babenberg  <Link to Wikipedia article>  family. On
their extinction, it passed to the Saxon
 <Link to Wikipedia article>  house.[8]

was Christianized chiefly by the monks of the Benedictine
 <Link to Wikipedia article>  Fulda Abbey

the spiritual authority of the Diocese of Würzburg

1007, Holy Roman Emperor

Bamberg a family inheritance, the seat of a separate diocese
 <Link to Wikipedia article> . The Emperor’s purpose in this
was to make the Diocese of Würzburg less unwieldy in size and to give
Christianity a firmer footing in the districts of Franconia

In 1008, after long negotiations with the Bishops of Würzburg
and Eichstätt

cede portions of their dioceses, the boundaries of the new diocese
were defined, and Pope John XVIII

confirmation in the same year. Henry II ordered the building of a
new cathedral  <Link to Wikipedia article> ,
which was consecrated on 6 May 1012. The church was enriched with
gifts from the pope, and Henry had it dedicated in honor of him. In
1017, Henry founded Michaelsberg Abbey

Michaelsberg (‘Mount St Michael’), near Bamberg, a Benedictine abbey
for the training of the clergy.[_citation needed

emperor and his wife, Kunigunde

temporal possessions to the new diocese, and it received many
privileges out of which grew the secular power of the bishop. Pope
Benedict VIII visited Bamberg in 1020[9]

Henry II for discussions concerning the Holy Roman Empire. While he
was there he placed the diocese in direct dependence on the Holy See

consecrated some of Bamberg’s churches. For a short time Bamberg was

Bamberg is located in Franconia
 <Link to Wikipedia article> , 63 km (39 mi) north
of Nuremberg  <Link to Wikipedia article>  by railway
and 101 km (63 mi) east of Würzburg

situated on the Regnitz river, 3 km (1.9 mi) before it flows into
the Main  <Link to Wikipedia article>  river.

Its geography is shaped by the Regnitz
 <Link to Wikipedia article>  and by the foothills of
the Steigerwald  <Link to Wikipedia article> , part of
the German uplands. From northeast to southwest, the town is divided
into first the Regnitz plain, then one large and several small islands
formed by two arms of the Regnitz (_Inselstadt_), and finally the part
of town on the hills, the ‘Hill Town’ (_Bergstadt_).

Bamberg extends over seven hills, each crowned by a church. This has
led to Bamberg being called the ‘Franconian Rome’ — although a
running joke among Bamberg’s tour guides is to refer to Rome instead
as the ‘Italian Bamberg’. The hills are Cathedral Hill, Michaelsberg,
Kaulberg/Obere Pfarre, Stefansberg, Jakobsberg, Altenburger Hill and

This places the district 10th out of 96 districts (rural and urban) in

The Town of Bamberg was inscribed on the UNESCO

due to its medieval layout and its well preserved historic

Middle Ages, urban gardening has been practiced in Bamberg. The Market
Gardeners’ District together with the City on the Hills and the
Island District is an integral part of the World Heritage site. In
2005, the Municipality established a unit to coordinate the

visitor and interpretation centre opened for the World Heritage

Bamberg Cathedral

late Romanesque

four towers. It was founded in 1004 by Emperor Henry II, finished in
1012[8]

consecrated on 6 May 1012. It was later partially destroyed by fire in
1081. The new cathedral, built by Saint Otto of Bamberg
 <Link to Wikipedia article> , was consecrated in

the 13th century received its present late-Romanesque form.[_citation

The cathedral is 94 m (308 ft) long, 28 m (92 ft) wide, 26 m
(85 ft) high, and the four towers are each about 81 m (266 ft)
high. It contains many historic works of art, such as the marble tomb
of the founder and his wife, considered one of the greatest works of
the sculptor Tilman Riemenschneider

treasure of the cathedral is an equestrian statue

The _Neue Residenz_ (New Residence) (1698–1704) was initially
occupied by the prince-bishops, and from 1864 to 1867 by the deposed

Its _Rosengarten_ (Rose Garden) overlooks the town. It has over 4500

The _Altenburg

the highest of Bamberg’s seven hills. It was mentioned for the first
time in 1109.[26]

1553 it was the residence of Bamberg’s bishops. Destroyed in 1553
by Albert Alcibiades, Margrave of Brandenburg-Kulmbach

it was used after scant repairs only as a prison, and increasingly
fell into decay.

In 1801, A. F. Marcus bought the castle and completely repaired it.
His friend, the famous German writer E.T.A. Hoffmann
 <Link to Wikipedia article> , who was very
impressed by the building, lived there for a while. The next owner,
Anton von Greifenstein, in 1818 founded an association to preserve the
castle. This society still maintains the entire property

Abraham needed a child and God asked him to use his only son for
sacrifice, Abraham was faithful.

He obeyed and God made him father of many nations. After the death of
my late Wife and when I was told about my illness I have to sell all
our properties which amounted to about $18.5million which I deposited
with one Bank for safety purpose if anything happen to me this funds
will be impounded you use these funds for the kingdoms work and for
charity purpose.

My name is Mrs. Lucy Cart, wife to the late Gerald Cart from Europe, i am old i have no family no kids, i lost my husband and my only two kids in a motor accident five years ago it's so sad for me right now, i am very ill with cancer, doctors says i have short time to live, i have decided to give my wealth to an honest person that can use it to glorify the name of the lord.

After i received instruction from my God to use this fund to do GODS work and to give to charity, i prayed to God for direction and he has been directing me. I told God that i want a ministry, or an honest person who will spend the fund for things that will glorify His name. This revelation came after my conversion from sinner to a Born Again Christian.

I received Christ and i found out that a sinner has no place in the kingdom of God. I never had rest of mind, I seek God for forgiveness and he revealed to me that i will only have rest of mind if i serve him with all my wealth and he will bless me mightily.

It was when i received Christ that i realized the meaning of going to heaven need to make heaven; i don't want to perish in hell fire. As my level of Christianity was increasing, i understood that the wealth of sinners is acquired for the just. God opened my eyes to the book of Ecclesiastes 6, verses 1 & 2. Read this scripture and you will understand that there are people in this world that God gave the grace to acquire wealth yet God did not give them the grace to enjoy the wealth.

I happened to fall into the same category now it is the wish of God.When God revealed to me to use my wealth to do his work, I understood that God was testing me like He tested Abraham and other men of God.Abraham needed a child and God asked him to use his only son for sacrifice, Abraham was faithful. He obeyed and God made him father of many nations.

After the death of my late husband and when i was told about my illness i have to sell all our properties which amounted to about $22 million which i deposited with Bank for safety purpose if anything happen to me this funds will be impounded, can you use this funds for charity purpose.

Please write me back if you get this message. I found your contact
details while browsing international believers directory. I am a 4
months old new christian..my entire family have been atheists all our
lives and I recently got converted through a gospel tv program in my
sick bed..I had a heart and kidney transplants both a failure and was
seeking for second one at all cost since I can afford it but the
doctors recent report on the chances means I don't have much time left
here anymore..I grew into immense compassion for the poor ever since I
got converted and read pastor jakes teachings on giving and it's
spiritual and miracle benefits..since my wife and I have more than
enough I thought it only fair to send donations to different charity
foundations but my wife is completely against my benevolence and
Christianity…I have sent emails to the pastors I watch on tv but no
response,I can't help but wonder why it's so hard to reach them
directly..I have never sent donation to a church before since I got
converted to Christianity and I have intentions to do so but most
importantly I have a serious issue bothering me that I been hoping I
could get any minister of the gospel or good christian to help me
understand cause it's been bothering my soul knowing death is
