Email analysis

This email from “Marie B Wilma” raises several red flags that suggest it could be a scam or spam. Firstly, the email is sent from a generic Outlook address which is not associated with any official organization or individual, making it less trustworthy. The message itself is vague and lacks specific details, such as why “Marie” is interested in the recipient’s country or what kind of job research she is conducting. These are common tactics used in spam emails aiming to initiate contact under false pretenses.

Additionally, the phrase “I thought it wise to reach out in this manner” suggests a lack of personal connection or intent, which can be characteristic of mass-mailed spam meant to elicit responses from unsuspecting individuals. The request for an “online relationship,” without any further context or elaboration, may be an attempt to establish an emotional connection that could lead to various forms of exploitation, such as financial scams or phishing attempts.

Readers should approach such unsolicited emails with caution, refrain from sharing personal information, and be wary of engaging with senders who lack transparency and specificity. Always verify the authenticity of any correspondence, especially when it involves offers or requests that seem too good to be true.

I ended up getting the same message that was used as example on this page. In the spam folder no less. Figured something was up. But just replied out of curiosity, And was sent two photo’s of the supposed Marie B. And in the reply message, supposed Marie B. Claimed she was of mixed heritage. As her mother was from Portugal. And the attached photos were of a attractive olive skinned young woman. That was physically endowed. Nice looking gal. But not the one sending the contacting message. Too bad.
