I hope that this correspondent meets you well.

My names are Mr Chucks Madi Kalu and I am using this medium to solicit
your support on behalf of the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and
Rural Development (FMARD). The present administration under the
leadership of President Muhammadu Buhari has put in place a policy to
vigorously pursue and implement programmes to achieve self-sufficiency
in rice production because of its strategic importance as a major
staple food crop in achieving food and nutritional security, import
substitution and the promotion of inclusive economic growth. This
programme is also part of the Agricultural Transformation Agenda
Support Programme (ATASP). .

The country is more than ever ready to boost rice production, create
jobs and also improve the living standard of the people in the
country, which is made up of Thirty-Six States, grouped into six
geopolitical zones with a total population of over Two Hundred Million
citizens. It is in continuation of this policy that the government
decided to place a ban on the use of foreign exchange to import dozens
of items, including rice.

As a result, the administration is to embark on the importation of
thousands of small scale rice milling machines to support the local
farmers in conjunction with other stakeholders. The process for the
contract award for these machines has just been inaugurated and I am
well connected to key administrative contacts, responsible for the
award of these contracts. If you have the capability to bid for the
supply of these machines, please get back to me ASAP with your price
list and specifications. I will be more than happy to work with you
and also link you directly with the top government officials in
charge, so that a quotation can be presented in the ongoing tender to
supply this products to our government.
