I just got a text myself and they are asking for an ID with a pic, if it’s a scam , what can they do with the info on your ID, the info on your ID id all over, ID’s are used basically on a daily bases, that’s what I believe, if someone knows different, please let me know, it does sound fishy

my name Robert Cistone and I’m from Philadelphia PA and I did receive a text message about the wolverine club ffc and it said due to the pandemic they were donating 3,650 to 700 random selected participants and once our identity was verified through ID.ME we would immediately receive the winning payment of 3,650 dollars ill be in touch ti let you know if that really is the case but it does seem alittle to good ti be true I read other text scams but they have ridiculous money payout amounts that is purely obvious that it is a scam. I only question the text I received because the money payout in the text I received is much lower than the others

I received the same message. I gave him a picture of my driver’s license, scanned my face, last 4 of my social security number. I asked was he scamming me, I’ve been a victim of identity theft before. I have my credit information monitored. I gave him the last 4 of my social security number and he had the other 5. Said they work with the IRS for identity verification. I feel so sick.
I gave him my picture I’d, my face, last 4 digits of my social security number. So is someone walking around here impersonating me. I feel sick.
I know …I think it’s a scam
Like all of you, I received the same text. “John” wanted me to go along with his 2 step process to verify who I am..which was to include my identification or DL. Of course I let him know that I do not give out personal information without speaking to either him or someone affiliated with the matter.. it took a while for him to ask again before my picture ID, with no mention of possibly speaking to someone is that can verify who the fuck they are.. the next text mentioned the systems were slow and he was too busy and unable to speak with anyone, because he was so tied up giving away free money.
Also I called the number from the text message and a recording from the company or whatever it is, named” honesty” I gave you two options, speak w an operator, that never picked up or a 4 digit extension for whomever.
We all love free money, if anyone can give me a response saying anything good or non fraudulent.. please feel free.

I received the text message about this club winning wanting to help me giving me $10,000 thousand dollars but I ain’t going to go down a site till I can confirm it’s real I have found serval different deals few claim real others claiming scamming people so tell me cause you don’t know how badly I can use the money.
I received this same text today on Aug 4, 2021
Haven’t sent them no info yet someone called me from number that texted me the voice of the person on the other end was low could barely hear so I hung up. I’m going to call back and speak to the person to see what they are talking about….. I plan to research this more before I give up any INFO Period….m

How do we sue?
C’mon, this is obviously a scam. Anything like this being sent out of the blue offering up money and asking for your personal information is always a scam.
I see some people on here claiming you’ve read on some sites that it’s real? I don’t know what sites have told you that, but like anything else these days you have to be careful where you get your information. Almost anyone can make a cheap website and post whatever crazy stuff they want on there.
For those of you that have already sent them your info, you may want to go to each of the credit bureaus and have your credit frozen. I’m not an expert. It’s only a suggestion.
